iwill p55xub/xuwb reboot

Hello,

I am attempting to boot an IWILL Ultra SCSI Motherboard "P55xub/xuwb"
using Linux kernel 2.0.0, kernel image aic7xxx.s supplied with Slackware
'96 and supplying the lilo command line boot param: aic7xxx=no_reset

This board uses the 
	INTEL 430TX PCIset
	Adaptec 7860/7880 SCSI Controller

As the system boots, it reboots just after the 

"Checking 'hlt' instruction .... ok" 

Anyone have any experience with this board or this problem?
