Yes, using bzImage solved the problem straight away :^)

The pre6 version of the driver did work with my ultra2 controller, but not
until I disconnected my narrow SCSI cdrom and only used my Ultra2wide hard
disk, otherwise it  just hung on 'scsi:1 host'. I did still get the bus
reset
problem, but it worked fine on the second attempt like everyone else
reported.
