Hmm, something went wrong. Example might be clearer indeed:

	# mkdir -p /foo/bar
	# mount /dev/ada0p1 /foo/bar
	# mv /foo /baz
	# jail /baz/bar ...

/foo/bar is stale here as his parent directory was renamed.
