Log:
Provide workaround for a performance issue with the popcnt instruction
on Intel processors. Clear spurious dependency by explicitely xoring
  the destination register of popcnt.

Use bitcount64() instead of re-implementing SWAR locally, for
  processors without popcnt instruction.
