OK, I do use fortran and even when not everyone uses fortran it's still
very difficult to avoid pulling in a version of gcc when installing very
basic ports (I recall some X stuff still requires it), but there is already
interest to make clang the default compiler in some linux distribution
(I forgot which, sorry), so it will not happen soon but it may very
well happen.
