Unfortunately, the most powerful machine @myhands is 2*8core
root at briareus:~# sysctl hw.model
hw.model: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2670 0 @ 2.60GHz
root at briareus:~# sysctl hw.ncpu
hw.ncpu: 16
and even this one is mostly loaded with $JOB ;)
I'll try comparing with my home fileserver, which is on
marck at hamster:~> sysctl hw.model
hw.model: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570 CPU @ 3.40GHz
marck at hamster:~> sysctl hw.ncpu
hw.ncpu: 4
and load is rather moderate, especially if I stop smbd ;)
