Sorry, I don't agree. There is nothing wrong with providing the user
with the information easily at hand, especially for something so
simple. I am not going to ask you to _add_ this kind of functionality
to things that you write, but I'm not going to take it _out_ of things
that I write. :)

That I have no problem with. I made the change in both places, thank
you for the suggestion. I accidentally made the change in two commits,
but it's done in any case.
