Yes we still use 7.x on most machines - these can build head just fine,
but it is a reasonably controlled environment, with minimal
dependence on the host env.

I was speaking more in terms of the project's boundaries on what they
are willing to support.

Yes, a common theme at most vendor summits is the ever increasing
