Not sure about your locale, but here (where the tradition originated) if you fool someone in the morning then they are an April Fool, if you attempt to fool them in the afternoon then you are the April Fool.  Your mail was timestamped 12:36 (ah, the perils of time zones...), though looking back at it I do rather like the commit time:
