Hi Jean-Sébastien,
I believed this change brings a bug on my laptop that uses
drm2/i915kms drivers: Xorg is no more able to probe the capability of
external screen connected to DP port and I can't use the audio output
of this screen too.
Before this commit (rev 249040), here is an extract of my
/var/log/Xorg.log regarding the probing part on DP1 connector:

After this commit (rev 249226) , here is the probing part regarding
the same connector/screen (only basic resolution support and no audio
output):

How can I help you to troubleshoot this bug ?
Regards,
Olivier
