FreeBSD has linuxlator that is able to run Linux binaries. RPM repositories
is one source of easy to install prepackaged Linux software. RPMs can be
installed on FreeBSD using sysutils/dnf as an alternative to */linux-*
ports.
There are only so many */linux-* ports, and they take time and effort to
create. dnf allows to easily install any of tens of thousands of RPMs. Some
of this software isn't ported to FreeBSD.
Hope this answers your question.
