It is possible to use apsfilter without hpijs. I use it with a Canon
iP90 or iP100 printer. If anyone has setup pointers for either without
apsfilter, it would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe cups is the answer. Which brings me to the possibility of
deprecating lpr/lpd in base for 13. Who other than me, who uses (used)
it any more?
