This breaks net/rubygem-grpc - grpc's API seems to have changed.
https://rubygems.org/gems/grpc/ only has 1.13.0 which does not fix the
problem (I tested that), and the gem for 1.14.0 is not available yet.

(Why is rubygem-grpc in net, but grpc, pecl-grpc and py-grpcio in
devel? Questions over questions...).
