If you need to carefully read the rules so that you can follow them precisely to the letter, that’s usually a good clue that you’re trying to circumvent the intent of the rules.  The rules in a community like FreeBSD are intended to be codifications of the intent of the community, not rigid programs that prescribe permitted behaviour.
