Just to be clear, to do this I would
1. svn rm remove the existing files, remove the line for java/Makefile for
the new port and commit that.
2. Then follow the procedure at
https://www.freebsd.org/doc/en/articles/committers-guide/ports.html#ports-qa-repocopy-how
to restore the port back to its current state, but presumably with some
history preserved.
Is that correct?
