This breaks net/rubygem-grpc. Updating rubygem-grpc to 1.16.0
(see https://rubygems.org/gems/grpc/versions ) fixes the issue
for me, so that looks like the most natural way forward.

Matthias - care to look into that? I know that www/gitlab-ce depends
on net/rubygem-grpc and is very picky about it's dependencies...
