That patch did rename smtpd.conf to smtpd.conf.sample. Without it, installation fails:

pkg-static: Unable to access file /usr/ports/mail/opensmtpd/work/stage/usr/local/etc/mail/smtpd.conf.sample: No such file or directory
*** Error code 74

Stop.
make[1]: stopped in /usr/ports/mail/opensmtpd
*** Error code 1

Stop.
make: stopped in /usr/ports/mail/opensmtpd

Can you please either add back the patch, or rename the file in post-install?
