(my message to the acl-devel list seems to have gotten stuck so
I'll try here...)

I finally sat down this weekend and hammered out a simple
Perl module to wrap the POSIX.1e ACL API.  It has not been
significantly tested but works well enough to be used by
the included getfacl.pl script.

The module has been tested under the following operating
systems:

o recent FreeBSD 5.0-CURRENT
o Linux 2.4.17+ea/acl-0.7.17 patches and acl-0.7.3
  (Debian 3.0).

I would appreciate feedback from users of other systems.
