SRI at one point picked up the code to do an implementation, but recently
Nate Williams, who was managing the project, left SRI, and I'm not sure
what the current state of the code is. At this point, it could really use
someone taking care of it--there's other interest also, and I'll be
announcing some new FreeBSD-specific mailing lists and project shortly.
On a related front, FreeBSD 4.0-RELEASE contained POSIX.1e ACL APIs, and
5.0 will be getting the Capability support in the next week or so. I'm
also committing the FFS extended attribute support necessary to back
capabilities, MAC labels, etc also in the next few weeks--I'm currently
getting code reviews done. The code has been running stably on some of my
test boxes for about two or three months, so is probably about ready to go
into the base OS.

The POSIX.1e D17 draft is available online; the URL was posted here a few
months back, I'll dig it up and post it tomorrow.
