keyboard and mouse not working after upgrading to xorg-server-1.20.7, 1

Hello,
After upgrading to xorg-server-1.20.7,1, xdm starts, but neither typing
nor moving the mouse has any effect. This is with a Lenovo X220 laptop.
I tried both DEVD and UDEV port knobs and the result was the same.
Below is the information requested on the wiki, but I guess the most
useful information is at the bottom in /var/log/Xorg.0.log.
