This has, at least, fixed the failure of acceleration. VAAPI is working again.
Now to let sometime pass and see if the other issues are fixed.

Any plans to make modesetting preferred? Or let the "typical" user know that
xf86-video-intel should not be used on 12 if modesetting works?
