The VDPAU option was added for users of drm-next and drangonfly as noted in
pkg-help, which is accessible by pressing F1 in the ports options dialog.

The drm drivers in kernel are too old for VDPAU to work properly and
unfortunately nobody has had the time to update them. There are newer drm
drivers in the drm-next branch which rely on linuxkpi and thus are only
available for amd64 currently.
