drm-next update and longer term plans

Hi Adrian and Matthew,

I'm a long term user of FreeBSD and am very interested in this project. I use it on all my desktop systems so getting graphics to work on newer hardware would be great. I'm a newbie when it comes to kernel code but I'm willing to put in the time and effort, and use the wisdom of the many knowledgeable people in here.
