What driver version was it?  NVidia drivers had been recently updated (ports
374695) to address CVE-2014-8298 vulnerability, but they very likely include
other fixes as well.  Would you be willing to try the latest version (unless
you already do so)?

Also on FreeBSD-10/amd64.  Reported states issue does not occur with 331.67
driver version.
