Any radeon, up to and including the HD4950, should have basic 3D
functionality in FreeBSD 9 (*).  There *may *be some HD5xxx cards that
actually use r600/r700 GPU, but I'm not aware of any.

(*) This is with the current FreeBSD ports tree.  Every attempt I've made
to start X when using the Xorg 7.7 CFT code has resulted in a segfault,
regardless of the video card.
