Thanks for the head up.

For people interested in testing I made a complete patch. Which is
available here: 

http://people.freebsd.org/~kwm/xf86-video-ati-6.14.2.diff

If you want to test it, download it and do the following:

cd /usr/ports
patch -p0 < /path/to/xf86-video-ati-6.14.2.diff
