HAL policies not respected after upgrade to 7.5?

Looks like the xorg team dropped AutoRepeat from the xorg config.  Awesome.  Added 'xset r rate 250
100' to my .xinitrc.

Dropped HAL on my lappie, and my synaptics now works.
