Still no go when i add the "option bustype" to the Device Section in 
xorg.conf:

Do I need the AccelMethod option and the section DRI ?
This is now with the radeonhd driver. And here is the saved xorg.0.log that 
goes with the radeonhd. The last message, "(WW) RADEONHD(0): DRMCPIdle: DRM CP 
IDLE returned BUSY!" gets repeated over and over and over again.
