HD4550 DRI issues

Ok, a few questions then....

i386 or amd64?
how much ram?
SMP or UP?

Please show the output of sysctl hw.dri.0 along with a matching
xorg.log.  My current configuration is amd64/SMP/4GB with a PCI-E
HD4650.  So it really baffles me how/why some people run into this,
where the ring contents are not zeroed.
