Capslock led and right click stopped working

I've noticed that others have reported problems their capslock led not lighting and, separately, some are having mouse problems.  I would like to report that I have both.  Just a few days ago I noticed the capslock led no longer lights after I startx.  The right mouse button on my usb logitech mouse has also ceased to function when in x.  However, the laptop touchpad and buttons do work.
