Nvidia how too?

I have an eGeForce 5200, should I use the nvidia port ?
Right now I am using the 'nv' driver and if the nvidia-driver
port is installed GLX doesn't work.  Just curious if nvidia-driver
is better than nv for a 5200 card.  

...actually I just read the doc mentioned below, I will try the nvidia
    driver and see for myself.  Thanks for the info.
