savage Xv problems in FreeBSD 5.4

hi,

This is FreeBSD-5.4 Release with HEAD ports, all working but a minor 
problem with Xorg Xv.

The Board is Via KM266 based (savagePro DDR-K, vt8235) using Xorg 6.8.2 
savage driver.

After using Xv (from mplayer), any change to text console leave Xv 
unusable (blue video).

Change to text console before Xv first use don't fire the problem.

Reset the sever throuhg kdm terminate/login go to a working state.

Before test linux or xorg-server-snap, any help on this is welcome.

I think this is more an xorg than a FreeBSD vt switch issue
