 I plan to do a fresh install of XFree86 4.5 and KDE 3.4 when I find
 some time (not before July), I will let you know how it works out.
 The problem disappeared when I switched to XFree86 4.3.0, so perhaps
 you can list that as a temporary workaround until I get to test the
 latest ports?
