Linker problem with FT_GlyphSlot_Embolden

I'm trying to upgrade libwnck, but it's dying earlier on with a
linker error:

/usr/X11R6/lib/libXft.so.2: undefined reference to `FT_GlyphSlot_Embolden'

I've portupgraded -Rf libXft, and reinstalled freetype as well, but
no luck. What do I actually need to do to fix this?

Thanks. This is FreeBSD 5.4-STABLE #13, by the way.
