XFree86 / Xorg and ATI Driver on a Sony Vaio C1VE

Hello @ FreeBSD

I have a long week behind me, because I had try to get Xorg or XFree86 on my Sony Vaio C1VE running.

The bad thing on this Laptop is the Screen Resolution of 1024x480.
ATI Driver is running with 1024x480 but only with 8 Bit Colour.
VESA Driver is running with 640x480 with 16 or 24 Bit Colour.

I see also many other people in the WWW with the same problem. 
With older Releases of FreeBSD or XFree86 it was no problem on this Laptop.

I have try so many things that I really not know where to search also or where to get help...
Do you have any idea what I could do to get more then 8 Bit Colour with 1024x480 ?
