The error indicates the host machine has restricted your IP address from accessing remotely through xdm server. To solve the problem, edit the Xaccess file, normally located at /etc/X11/xdm/ directory on Linux system, uncomment the line "# * #any host can get a login window", restart the xdm server with "init 5" command.
