XFree86-4-clients won't build

This header comes from x11-fonts/libXft port, formerly known as x11-fonts/Xft:
[snip]
> Xft-2.1.2_1				nss-3.9_1
[snip]

Try upgrading Xft to libXft first, then try XFree86-4-clients again.
