The upgrade, together with some cleanups regarding dependencies (these are the 
ones that actually cause the messages you've seen :) is being tested on ports 
build cluster. So the time of upgrade is not that far. You can check the 
archives for diffs to ports tree that bring X.Org 6.8.1 though.
