XFree86-4-Server-snap on alpha/MGA

I have just replaced XFree86-Server-4.3.0_12 with XFree86-Server-4.3.99.15
(from the -snap port) on my 5.1-CURRENT/alpha/Matrox-Mystique box.

The good news is that switching from X11 back to a VGA console works
again; with 4.3.0 this used to leave the graphics card in a state
where it wouldn't produce a signal my monitor could sync to.

On the negative side, "X -query <host>" has stopped working.  The
server can't connect to any xdm daemon, neither to a local one nor
to remote hosts.
