WLAN PCIe HW recommendation for 8.1

Thought I share good news as well:

1. Temporarily switched to power line network, so the server is 'wireless' and functions as wanted. Speed dropped from about 1.2 Mbit within the apartment to 300 Kbit between the 2 floors, however, reliability is over speed in my case. There was no need to upgrade the server from R8.1 either.

2. In the meantime did a test with R10 beta. Booted the server yesterday night from a R10 memory stick, configured a TL-WDN4800, and voila, about 700 Mbit without much tuning (AP is 5 years old). (Manual config after boot did not seem to work, but mounting the pen drive in write mode and updating rc.conf, wpa_supplicant.conf cut it.) I will do a full night test the next days.

Wonder if beta releases count as normal release from the upgrading perspective? I could start with R10 beta on a 2nd disk, it will take a while until all ports are reinstalled, configured etc. Once this is done (I will take my time) R10 final should be out. Question is: R10 beta -> R10 final upgrade is just like any other upgrade? Or, shall I wait 1 month for the final R10?
