ixv driver in 11.2-RELEASE

hello - i just ran into the issue reported in this bug when deploying 
some m4.large AWS instances:

looking at the source, it looks like the patch in this ticket was never 
ported back to the 11 branch.  would it be possible to get this back 
ported from CURRENT?
