Just now I installed 11-RC3 VM
(ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/releases/amd64/amd64/ISO-IMAGES/11.0/FreeBSD-11.0-RC3-amd64-dvd1.iso)
without any issue and the VM worked fine for me.

I usd the default VM configure. I tried 20GB and 40GB local vhdx.

It's strange I could't reproduce the issue.
