Good Luck with your FreeBSD group in England. I started ours in Houston,
Texas in March of 1999. I can tell you there were times when I was sitting
alone! Some of the Geeks have families and guess what you'll be second
fiddle to them, family comes first! The best meetings we had were when we
had speaker. Keep the subject matter interesting and who knows! Now we just
maintain a mailing list. (www.houfug.org)

Subject: Manchester BSD UG - Tonight!

August is here. And it's raining. Woop-yay.

Anyway, as it is of course the first Tuesday of the month, that means in a
dark corner of a traditional ale house in the fine city of Manchester,
England, *strange things* will occur. So rare, that historians will discuss
at conferences in the future whether the rumours are not all merely folklore
and myth:

Geeks will socialise.

Actually, as nobody has given me a heads-up on attendance, it could just be
me sat on my own reading the paper, but hey-ho. At least I tried. Not quite
so exciting for the historians, but I might give them something to talk
about by attempting awkward conversation with a barmaid.

Date: 1st August - TODAY
Time: 7:30pm - 9pm
Venue: Briton's Protection, Great Bridgewater Street, Manchester

As it's raining, no beer garden likely, so scoot around looking for us.
