`usbtest` on your side seems to fail very quickly. Could you re-run the test,
this time disabling negative tests, i.e., in the Mass Storage menu, make sure
that 7 and 8 are set to NO?

For `iostat`, there is no useful output in the traces. You need to put some
GEOM name directly on the command line, e.g., replace "/dev/da0" by "da0"
(check that the output header line indeed has "da0" in it).
