Unfortunately I do not have any kernel build (or test) env available, so I'll
have quite a hard time to test any kernel patches.

Other than that, it looks good (but please note that I don't know the details
of the kernel, USB or devd code, so don't take my word for it.. :)).

The only problem I can see if any other code expects "bus=", which would break.
An alternative (but duplicate) variable name would be another solution.
