This timeline isn't quite right.

The concerns over the new TTY drivers and usb weren't relevant.  There
were a number of other issues that ran out the clock for Alfred's free
time to commit this before his vacation.  After he got back, he hasn't
had the time to commit.  I personally said I'd deal with the new TTY
layer and usb (at least ucom).  I fixed a few nits that ed overlooked
in a couple devices he didn't have in the old stack.

I'd like to see this.  I know he's very busy at work, but hope he has
some time to cope with this.  I'd do it, but all my FreeBSD time these
days is booked up with MIPS, ARM and a paper for EuroBSDCon.
