I have tested a USB 2.0 to IDE 2.5" with my new USB stack, and it pushed 
20Megabytes per second. Maybe you can wait till I have finished reworking 
"umass", some time before 1st of August, and then try again. Else what does 
your "dmesg" say about "umass" ?
