Thanks for the tip - some months ago I accidentally disabled swap partition (commented out the wrong line, I wanted to remove a cdrom entry for a different acount) ... and only find out about it a week later in top :) So it should be a good short-term solution until you guys work out something :) Thanks for your efforts, and have a nice weekend :)
