I subscribed to the spanish mailing list ( doc at es.freebsd.org ) about a year and a half ago and sent them an email, but I haven't got a reply since and the list seems to be inactive since 2010.

Translators must watch for commits and look at diffs, and this really adds a lot of work to an already-difficult job. One of our ongoing projects is to get rid of all that overhead and use the PO translation system. This would make the job much easier for translators. This is one of the things we will be talking about at the BSDCan developer summit in June.

Hello all, I’m absolutely new to the FreeBSD mailing lists and to translating for FreeBSD. I looked around to see where the translation system is, but I could not find it. I am used to the way things are done on Launchpad.net and so I thought this would be similar. If the way translation is done is very uniform then I would be fine with it, but this seems very tedious. I would like to know the workflow for this PO translation system and the differences and similarities to the Launchpad.net <http://launchpad.net/> system.
