atf-c for kernel function unit testing

I'm wondering if anybody's explored using atf-c for adding unit tests to kernel
level functions or driver code.

I'd like to have a bit more confidence in the new driver code I'm pulling down
on a regular basis for testing -CURRENT, and unit tests seem like a good way to
accomplish that

If this is something nobody's tinkered with yet, i'll try to find some
tinkering time :)
